Tested Expo SDK releases, per-SDK dependencies, archived source, and included compatibility updates.
Supported SDKs
| Package | Catalog baseline |
|---|---|
| Expo SDK | Expo SDK 58 and Expo SDK 57 (the current and previous supported releases) |
| React Native | 0.88, New Architecture (repository: 0.88.0) |
| Reanimated | 4.7 (repository: 4.7.1) |
| Worklets | 0.13 (repository: 0.13.0) |
| Gesture Handler | 3.3 (repository: ~3.3.0), when used |
| Skia | 2.14 (repository: 2.14.0), only when used |
Every animation page serves its package names and version ranges in the Dependencies table, alongside its source and README. The packages vary by piece: Skia is not a catalog-wide requirement. Image, blur, gradient, and audio packages are needed only where the individual dependency list includes them.
Choose fewer dependencies
Use the catalog's Dependencies filter: No Skia excludes pieces declaring Skia; Reanimated only means that the declared packages beyond React and React Native contain only Reanimated and optionally Worklets. It excludes Gesture Handler and Expo modules. Worklets may still be needed by your Reanimated setup even when the component does not import it directly. Missing dependency metadata is not treated as a match.
Examples from piece.json reviewed on 10/16/2026:
| Piece | Declared packages beyond React and React Native |
|---|---|
| Auto Height Accordion | Reanimated |
| Bump Badge | Reanimated |
| Synced Side Tabs | Reanimated, Worklets |
| Swipe to Delete Row | Reanimated, Worklets, Gesture Handler |
These components declare no Expo modules. That is a dependency observation, not proof of compatibility with an older SDK or a React Native project without Expo. The installation CLI expects an Expo project.
Using another SDK
The catalog supports the current and previous Expo SDK releases. Older downloads remain available as archived source without updates. Compatibility revisions for a purchased piece are included with a single-piece purchase and All-access during the support window. Compare the piece's compatibility table with your project and try a free piece first. The CLI uses npx expo install for missing native packages and selects the revision for the detected SDK.
Device review and metadata
Before approval, each piece is reviewed in Expo Go on physical iPhone and Android phones. See each animation’s Compatibility table for the latest revision date, SDK-specific dependencies, and any limited-support notes. See Quality and testing for the current process and its limits.
